    Reading the synopsis above, I saw an Uncle Charlie who is not what he seems mentioned and thought of Hitchcock - SHADOW OF A DOUBT specifically, and looked back over the thread and saw sukebanboy mentioned Hitchcock...the plot description does sound more than a little like that film. I'm certainly curious about this.

    Ha, I just finished writing my piece on this and referenced Shadow Of A Doubt as well. The influnece is certainly there, but it goes in very different directions. There's a Twin Peaks/Lynch feel to much of this too though it stops before heading into blatant copying of either Lynch's style or Hitchcock's style. This is very much Park's movie, if you're familiar with his earilier films (and this was shot in film, not digital) you'll see his style all over it.

    Guess I am the only one terribly dispapointed with this one...i even coughed up the fough to see it in a theater (somethign I rarely do these days)...

    Oh well....not the first time I have been out of the circle of love!!
