    More of a subgenre than a genre, I guess, but that would be splitting hairs But certainly, some interesting films to revisit.

    I visited Dirleton Castle last year, which you may know was the site of some rather lucid accounts of witchcraft and a subsequent witch-hunt, and popped into the witch's prison there. Quite an eerie place. The site where the grisly executions took place is now a green common with a children's playground just off it.
