I enjoyed it as a decent backwoods slasher. It's not the most original film in the world but I'd say if you like that type of thing that it's at least worth a rental.

Rental it will be then as I am a fan of the "backwoods slasher" kind of movies...as long as they are semi-well made!

    From Twitch:

"Wolf Creek 2, sequel to the Australian horror film that achieved local box office success before going on to become something of an international phenomenon, will be released in Australian cinemas on February 20, 2014.

The film's director Greg Mclean made the announcement in front of excited fans at Melbourne's Oz Comic-Con. The original hit was released in 2005 and became the number one Australian film in that year and the highest grossing Australian R18+ film of all time. "

I saw the original a few years ago. It's a decent film, but certainly not my favourite. I'd say for most it's worth a watch, ultimately it's still pretty good and on par, if not better than most of those sort of films. Just not my thing.

If you want a really good Australian horror, I'd recommend something along the lines of 'Wake in Fright'.

Yeah, there's a thread about that one kicking around here somewhere. I've been meaning to see it but just haven't had time to catch up with it yet.
