    Twin Peaks Coming To Blu-ray?

The latest 'rumor mill' column over at The Digital Bits says:

"Finally, while we’re talking CBS… we’ve had additional confirmation that the company is working to being more catalog TV series to Blu-ray, following the success of Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation, including David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. More on that in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned…"

Hmmmm...be interesting to see what the presentation is going to be, as far as AR. The DVDs in the gold box are fine for me...I don't really feel like buying that series AGAIN.

    More from The Digital Bits.

"work on Twin Peaks: The Complete Series on Blu-ray is also well under way at CBS, with a release expected in time for the end of the year or early next. Multiple sources tell us that a deal has been made to allow the inclusion of David Lynch’s Fire Walk with Me film in the package, so fan will at long last be treated to a truly complete set."

Unless, of course, FWWM is not the uncut version that fans have been waiting for since the first video release...

Cool. Think I'll be staying with my DVD's of this, though. How much better can this series look?

It was shot on video, right? That red tinge has been on both releases VHS/DVD, although it was slightly better on the DVD release. I hope for potential buyers that they don't crop it for 1.78:1 or something.

I just hope it's blu: The Series, and no more of this Season1 and Season 2 bs.

The DVD's were heavy on the extras, tho. It'll be interesting to see what is retained, and what new, if any, extras will be in the blu set.

As far as I know TWIN PEAKS was shot on film, though it was edited on video as was standard at the time. I believe I read somewhere that the process of going back to the film elements was actually done for the gold box, if that's the case it'll probably just be a matter of doing a new scan.
