Thread: AMC Bringing Ennis & Dillon's Preacher To US TV?

On to episode 2. Still a great show. I hope they adapt that part in the comic where Cassidy meets this other vampire who plays up all the usual vampire tropes.

Third episode was okay...backslide with the fourth. This isn't doing much for me.

    *SPOILER*

I'm currently watching the episode titled "He Gone", which is the episode following the one that ended with Jesse sending Eugene to Hell. My question is about Eugene. I'm not sure if it was explained in an earlier episode, but what exactly did he do to make him the town pariah? I know it has something to do with the bedridden girl, but what is it? Did he rape her or something? Is it explained later on in the story or is it purposely ambigious?

EDIT: Haha, about five minutes after I posted this and continued watching the episode, Preacher told Cassidy what Eugene did.

You hate it so much you're not even going to finish the season? How many episodes did you watch?

I'm caught up. I don't hate it, I just don't care about it. Last time I finished the season just for the sake of it....VINYL. that didn't work out so well. Anyway, plenty of great stuff to watch, and I can always read the comics again.

The last series for me that was absolute torture was ZOO, but I stuck it out until the end. The only thing that got me through it was Kristen Connolly's hotness. The first episode was great, but the entire season was a great big cocktease! Needless to say, I skipped season 2.

I liked VINYL. I'm a big fan of Bobby Cannavale.

I like Bobby, and I liked a lot of the actors, but felt that VINYL was one big window-dressing series that served zero purpose. I was definitely in the minority, if you don't count the execs at HBO.
