Mill Creek Reissuing The Tick - The Complete Series

    From tvshowsondvd:

"The Big Blue Bug of Justice is Here! In a world where criminals rule the streets, evil has finally met its match. There is a new protector of the weak and oppressed, the hilarious blue defender of goodness, known as... The Tick (Patrick Warburton, Seinfeld)! Together with his sidekick Arthur (David Burke, Party of Five) and their friends - the insatiable Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell, The Dark Knight) and the alluring Captain Liberty (Liz Vassey, CSI) - these heroes will prove they are more than just big, dumb guys in silly-looking suits. Produced by Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black I & II) and Barry Josephson (Bones) and based on the hit comic book, this hysterical set contains nine episodes, spanning the entire series. So let this be a warning to naughty people everywhere, for you have met...The Tick! Includes all 9 Episodes, Based on the Cult Comic by Ben Edlund."

Amazon says it's coming out on 2/4/14 at the bargain price of $9.98.

Hmm... Warburtons gotten himself pretty fat since he last donned the bug anntenae. All the talc and baby oil in the world wont squeeze him into that suit again. Not sure the Tick worked in live action anyway. It always felt uncomfortably like watching adults play dress ups.

    I liked the cartoon more.

Me too. And I'd say the comic was better again than the cartoon by some distance.
