I’m in no rush. I have all the customs from the Japanese releases. I can wait for the B&N, Amazon or criterion flash sale to get it at 50% off SRP.

Oh yeah, it will not be out until hose fall 50% off sales are happening. So no reason not to wait. It is just that with the 20% off sale (if it hadn't ended yesterday) and Target's Red Card 5% off, it would've been close enough to 50% off to just lock in the pre-order now.

So, if it's complete Showa Era, it would include these entries, right?

    Godzilla
    Godzilla Raids Again
    King Kong vs. Godzilla
    Mothra vs. Godzilla
    Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster
    Invasion of Astro-Monster
    Ebirah, Horror of the Deep
    Son of Godzilla
    Destroy All Monsters
    All Monsters Attack
    Godzilla vs. Hedorah
    Godzilla vs. Gigan
    Godzilla vs. Megalon
    Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla
    Terror of Mechagodzilla

If so, that's a pretty bad ass set. I'd wait for a sale as well, but I'm excited for a formal announcement.

I see 8 physical discs which is a good sign. I like the "fake" Criterion covers more as they aren't so loud but these aren't too shabby. $99 for the set is reasonable.

I like the loud covers. I'm also a sucker for Geoff Darrow art.

Three films on a disc is a little tight, trying not to focus on that, as it's looking so good.
All extras on a separate disc may leave enough breathing room?

May have to wait on reviews though.

    Disc 1: Godzilla
    Godzilla: King of the Monsters

    Disc 2: Godzilla Raids Again
    King Kong vs. Godzilla

    Disc 3: Mothra vs. Godzilla
    Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster
    Invasion of Astro-Monster

Disc 4: Ebirah, Horror of the Deep
    Son of Godzilla
    Destroy All Monsters

    Disc 5: All Monsters Attack
    Godzilla vs. Hedorah

    Disc 6: Godzilla vs. Gigan
    Godzilla vs. Megalon

    Disc 7: Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla
    Terror of Mechagodzilla

    Disc 8: Supplements
