The first review I've seen so far, and it's a very, very positive one.

Watched it last night. This disc is pretty damn close to perfect. What a beautiful boner inducing transfer and it was rad to get to hear the Scorsese commentary from the old laserdisc. Herrmann's score sounds so good in DTS-HD.

Man...i'm gonna watch it friday night when nadene's at her friend's place. I was drooling over the extra features, and wondering what the transfer would be like. Can't WAIT.

I'm retooling my old review and will have it live, with some big ass screen caps, later this morning.

I'd rather do that than work today.

Same price at Best Buy. You can't argue with that price.

Watched my copy this weekend and almost wept at its perfection. Just mouth-opened awe at how good some of the scenes looked, like the scene between Sport and Iris. That scene had always just been so oversaturated w/ the red lights in the room that there was no definition between 'em. Now, tho', you get the clarity between the red, orange, and yellow light. That's just one example but, man, is it good. I don't know that the film's ever looked this good, this clear, ever.

It's pretty much perfect. You can even see hand prints on the glass behind Travis and Betsy when they get coffee and on the glass behind all the Taxi Driver's in the diner. And at the same time, it still looks like it should look, it still has the grain and the weird colors at the end and all that good stuff.

I think it might be the best Blu-ray release of the year so far. My only complaint really is the missing isolated score (again).

Agreed on both points - they even bothered to include the Criterion commentary track, what's up w/ Hermann's estate that they can't get that isolated score track again?
