This looks decent enough in motion. Not a reference quality transfer but certainly a noticeable upgrade over the DVD release. The audio is pretty solid too. Having finally sat down to check the disc out, I'm happy to have it. It really is a quirky, fucked up movie.

Does that mean they found a new elements to do the 4k scan or they licensed it from another company that did it? (I didn't look back to see what the previous bd was made from) Either way, I hope a U.S. label licenses it for release over here. It's a fave of mine; I had the UK dvd & the Aussie dvd for the extra gore scene(s). I think I sold the Aussie to a friend. The movie should look great in HD!

    From FB:

"UPDATE FOR ALL ASKING ABOUT THE UNCUT VERSION:Included as a special feature is RAZORBACK: THE VHS CUT - Full ‘uncut’ VHS version included as an on-disc extra. (*NOTE: The Original elements for the missing scenes no longer exist. We can’t insert the missing scenes into the 4K scan as they are in a different aspect ratio and only available on VHS). As well as including the missing scenes as their own EXTRA with Optional Commentary."

"RAZORBACK will unfortunately be delayed until further notice. We understand this news may be frustrating for some, but we just want to make sure it's the best possible release, befitting of the Ozploitation classic. Please stay tuned for more exciting Blu-Ray announcements coming over the next few days!"

Speculation, of course, but it would be kinda neat if this delay was because they had found the missing footage that the earlier release wasn't able to include... Umbrella did confirm on FB that this delay is NOT indefinite.
