Predator Trilogy Blu-ray Release Coming In May

    Release date is 5/6/14.

Will contain Predator, Predator 2 and Predators but not the AVP movies from the looks of things.

No word on extras or if this is simply a repackaging of the individual releases (I suspect that it is).

Ideally the 1st movie would get a new transfer...

I remember in an interview with the producer that he receives a fat check every year for DVD royalties from Predator. Not sure if that extends to Predator 2 and Predators but it would make sense.

Would be nice to get a 4th movie sometime though...

If it's a repackage, will it have barebones grainy transfer, or SE DNR transfer? Who can tell?

Not movie related so much but the Predator is confirmed as appearing in Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation.

He pops up here just past the 2:20 mark.

There's rumors that there's going to be a Dutch skin too. I'm not a fan of COD but if Predator mode is really good I might pick it up.

From what it looks like, the Predator mode in COD Ghosts is just a drop that allows you to be the Predator until you're killed. And it's only on one map. Pretty disappointing.

Does it need a reboot? With that concept you can set the movie in any kind of area of conflict and have the Predator do his thing. Predators was a hit too. It didn't make half a billion dollars but it definitely made money, especially considering how Rodriguez shoots fast and cheap.

I always wanted to see an adaption of the comic Bad Blood.

The comic is dumb but a lot of fun and the core concept it has is genuinely good and could make a damn good Predator flick.

Bad Blood worked for me. Yeah, it was dumb, but it kinda nailed what makes the concept work. It would be good adaptation material for sure. The first 4 issue series Chris Warner did would have been good too. Most of Dark Horse's Aliens/Predator licensed stuff was solid.
