I very much doubt this will be anything but awful. But I will buy it on Blu anyhow just to show my support of this type of film.

Here's an amusingly pessimistic news item:

Renny Harlin is making a Jackie Chan movie, unfortunately not in 1994
    - http://www.avclub.com/article/renny-...ault:1:Default

Harlin used to be a fantastic director (Born American, Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger)... I'd love to see him do something good again. And Jackie... he used to be a fantastic action star...

TAKUMA...that article is fantastic.....and even funnier because it is ALL true.....(Except the bit about Scott being the new Rob Schneider.....that was TOO harsh,......Everyone knows Danny Dyer is the new Rob Schneider!!!

    Caught this during a flight.

    Skiptrace (China / Hong Kong / USA, 2016) [Flight] - 2/5
"Renny Harlin is making a Jackie Chan movie, unfortunately not in 1994". This A.V. Club pre-release headline summed it up perfectly. It's basically a Rush Hour lite meets 48 Hours, with Johnny Knoxville instead of Chris Tucker / Eddie Murphy. Mostly watchable with a fast pace and a couple of good jokes, but ultimately nothing we haven't seen done better dozens of times. The action is forgettable and the soundtrack especially bad. There is one wonderful cameo, though.

I finnished it, but it was not good. A shame really cause at first glance it really looks and feels like a Jackie Chan film of old. It just doesn't work. At all.
