Retrovision Entertainment Releasing Django The Bastard

One of my favorite SW's is getting reissued by Retrovision Entertainment.

Some quotes from their FB page:

"So, for those who are curious, the DVD master for "Django the Bastard: The Stranger's Gundown" is finished. Now, we're planning a release date and creating promotional materials."

"One of the many alternate title cards used for "Django the Bastard: The Stranger's Gundown". This one was used for the release in the United Kingdom and is included as a bonus feature on the upcoming DVD!"

The old VCI DVD definitely left room for improvement. I don't know anything about Retrovision but this could potentially be good news.

Yeah, I'd probably get this if early reports sound promising. That said, makes you wonder why they aren't doing a blu-ray. Money maybe...I'm not familiar with this outfit either.

I honestly feel kinda bad for posting this (I promise to edit it away [if I remember ;P] if the Shark Hunter Blu comes out in good quality) but you might be interested to know about this thread at http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=242991 regarding Retrovision (it is about much more than just the Last Shark).
Retrovision seem to think the movie (Django the Bastard) is PD and based on their Last Shark DVD (just a copy of another disc with some tweaks) I expect this to simply be a copy of one (or a combination of several) international DVDs. Of course that will very likely make it much much better than the VCI disc.

He's quoting a bootleg company's statement on copyrights? Reminds me of the old Berne Convention dodge.

If that's a clip from their release, well, it looks like a VHS+ dupe.

Yes, who would read that passage and think they were legally covering thier arse? I was struggling to follow the thread but was he also claiming to be getting HD masters from digibeta?
