View Full Version : Sleazy Sites From Around The World!

Okay, I started a thread like this on AVM years ago but I dunno what happened to it and the resurrection of the Times Square marquee thread made me think of this.

So yeah, post here about sleazy shit that you see around your neck of the woods. I'll go first. Here are some pictures from Portland OR. At one point Ian Miller and I were driving around taking pictures of porno shops and nudie bars but he puked out the window of my car so I drove him home. Anyway, without further ado...

The porno barn! This is an adult video store called Liberated World that is shaped like a giant purple barn.

A few more....

The Rumpus Room!

The Peep Hole & Mr. Peep's Showgirls!

Jody's Bar & Grill where you can get breakfast and catch a show!

Club 205 - Enter a dance contest!

The Blue Spot Adult Video store!

My favorite place to catch some rays, X-otic Tan For Men!

You can also buy pleather boots and Jenna Jameson videos while you get a tan in your stockings.

The Sugar Shack was part of a porno plaza - there was a porno shop in there and a burrito joint. It was also a juice bar so you only had to be 18 to go in but... there was no beer.

The Pirates Cove was at one point called The Sandy Jug. It's a strip club shaped like a giant milk jug, so that makes it awesome, but it had really bottom of the barrell talent, so it was more like you went there for a laugh. We went there for Noland's bachelor party and he got drunk and ripped a sign off of the front and then yelled at cars in the middle of the road before going back in and sitting at the rail so he could pump his fist to 'Down With The Sickness.'

The G-Spot was a lingerie modelling place that burned down.

And Pink Kitty's was right nearby.

This place was also right nearby. It was like lingerie modelling alley or something.

The Viewpoint was up near the airport and it had a male strip club upstairs. Sometimes, if you were lucky, the male strippers would come down stairs and hang out.

This is awesome, Ian! Love what you posted.

Here are a few from my hood:

And from inside the projectionist's booth:

And this is from the front room, upstairs. The drape you see is the one from the window above the marquee in the first photo.

Inside each of those manila envelopes is a folded poster for a 1970s porn film! I've got them all here in my house now, still in those envelopes! ^_^

Also, this wooden sandwich board stood outside on the sidewalk in front of my fave porn magazine store on Granville Street here in Vancouver. Then the store closed, and the sign was gone. Then, years later, I was at a party getting drunk, and what should I see on the wall?? MY FAVE SIGN!!! I was so happy! It was like finding an old friend. Turns out a pal of mine found it in a back alley next to the garbage, and rescued it.

Now it is art.

That's a pretty cool piece of art. We don't have much around here for sleazy stores, but I'll try to snatch a photo of each of the three on the way to my parents in NH. You'll all probably laugh at the broke-ass porn stores around here (I haven't been in any of them).

Ian Jane

Robin, those are bad ass and your Django shirt makes me want to sing.

Todd, the best porn shops are the broke ass ones. Don't let that get you down.

I've got TONS more pictures to post in this thread over the next few days. I'm gonna see if I can get some shots of the nasty ones in Brooklyn where I work when I head to the post office at lunch.

Robin, those are bad ass and your Django shirt makes me want to sing.

Ian, it's not a Django shirt. It's a Djang shirt. Djang was a little known Turkish ripoff of the Franco Nero classic.

I am legitimately amazed by how many Adult dvd places are left in your area. All but two have closed down around here. And with the amount of easily obtained XXX online, it's easy to see why. It must just be old men who don't trust/know how to use computers that shop in these places.

Ian Jane
09-14-2011, 01:59 PM
There are at least three more a few blocks in the other direction. For whatever reason, the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn has a LOT of porno shops. I dunno if it's because it's a blue collar area with a large Mexican immigrant population (who statistically don't use computers as much) or what.

Robin Bougie
09-14-2011, 03:30 PM
Do any of them have any pre-1985 adult magazines for sale? Sometimes I luck out in those kinda places, and they'll have some bargain bin full of such items! It's the best! One time I found a softcover book from 1972 called HOUSEWIVES WHO INVITE RAPE packed full of naked photos of Rene Bond in a bin like that.

Hmm, I should posts some scans from that in the Rene Bond thread.

Ian Jane
09-14-2011, 03:40 PM
Yes you should. I haven't noticed any magazies, but I've only ever popped my head in from around the corner and stuff because I'm almost always passing them with co-workers and as cool as some of them are, I don't really wanna go porn shopping with them. Also there's on in the area (not pictured... yet) that I'm actually legitimately scared of. No windows, one entrance that you have to go up a few stairs to get into, and a backyard area full of old car parts and junk. It totally looks like something out of a bad movie.

Ian Jane

Some more from Portland.

Tying into the one Robin posted earlier. I was actually in there one night as my old roommate's brother used to work at the theater. It was all projection, showing modern gonzo stuff, and there were only a few lonely old man hanging out in the theater, but I've heard stories...

And the Magic Gardens, where you can talk Bava with strippers.

Ian Jane

Some pictures of the bathroom in the Magic Gardens and some of the awesome novelties you can buy out of the vending machine there.

Ian Jane

Was Roy a patron?

He was the founder/owner. He'd been around forever but passed away around the time that picture was taken.

Robin, yep, I have that issue. Doesn't sound too far removed from some of the stories my friend told me about working there. He also said that in the basement there were entrances to the Shanghai Tunnels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_tunnels).

09-15-2011, 11:21 AM
Dude I'm working with now just told me yesterday that he worked at a strip club in the 90's as a dancer. This place is mixed gender and I guess at the time his wife danced there as well. In addition, his aunt and cousin were employed at this same place and he said that on some nights all four of them would be on their respective stages at one time.

As soon as he told me all this I imagined him looking like Patrick Swayze in the SNL Chippendales sketch and when I told him that he said "Dude! You know how many people used to say that to me? I had long blond hair just like that!" He does indeed have a Swayze vibe mixed with a little Huey Lewis.

Perks of the job according to him: tanning bed and weight bench in the dressing room. Women buying him shots all night. A free USA leather jacket, like this one...

He also has a small Van Halen logo tattoo on his left hand that he gave to himself when he was 14. He said he was so drunk that he spilled the India ink on the floor and had to dip the needle into the carpet.

Here's a rant/blog entry I wrote about a year ago that I'm gonna repost here with some pictures taken around that time about a theater a few blocks away from where we live.

I never got to go to The Eagle. Not for real, at any rate. Yes, I walked by it plenty of times and photographed it’s marquee quite frequently, but I never went inside. Now, this isn’t entirely my fault. The Eagle, as this art deco theater located in Jackson Heights on 37th Road (and right next door to a busy subway entrance) has been called since long before I moved to the area, has been closed. A Bollywood theater, it was hit hard by the film strike in Mumbai that crippled the Bollywood film industry – if you don’t have movies to show, no one will come to your theater, right? In this case, that seemed to be the case. There’s a HUGE Indian population around the theater, large enough that you’d think it would gladly support the theater, but for whatever reason, it never reopened.

I learned today, after doing a random Google search for the theater, that it was gutted last month. Nothing exists inside from its original incarnation. If you look around online you’ll find a nice gallery of shots (http://iwantmorefood.com/2010/02/12/eagle-theater-dismemberment/) taken before the gutting commenced, and those with an appreciation for urban decay and neat old movie houses will definitely appreciate what they see, but it’s no more. The external facade, at the time of this writing, still exists. The marquee hangs out over the sidewalk of the road that thousands of people pass across each and every day, but a rolled gate keeps its doors from opening. Rumors persist on Jackson Heights message boards that either an Indian store is going in there (which would make sense) or a Rite-Aid will be taking over the space (which the community doens’t need – we’ve got enough of them here already, thank you very much – and what’s with Rite-Aid’s tendency to take over gorgeous old theaters? It seems more frequent than it should be!). What would you rather have in your neighborhood, a great, art deco theater built in the late 1930s or a lame corporate drug store that overcharges based on location and demographic?

This is depressing not only because it represents a lost opportunity for yours truly to explore a neat old building and check out an interesting relic of NYC’s grindhouse history -it long stood as The Earle, a XXX theater that showed all manner of bizarre films, and it then went ‘gay XXX’ (Jackson Heights has a large gay population and apparantly while this was a gay XXX theater the area was referred to as ‘Vaseline Alley,’ a tag line that exists to this day but which now seems to refer to the gay bars on Roosevelt Ave. near the subway station) before turning into The Eagle and becoming the Bollywood establishment that would prove its swansong – but it’s just one more sign that independent theatrical play is becoming a thing of the past. Jackson Heights had three theaters the first time I came to visit here – a low rent porno house (now demolished), The Eagle, and a triplex on the busy stretch between Roosevelt Ave. and 37th Ave. on 82nd Street. Only the 82nd Street theater remains, it’s one of the few in the city that shows mainstream Hollywood pictures with Spanish subtitles so it has a large demographic to support, but even that theater was closed temporarily a few months ago.

Now I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t support theatrical screenings as often as I could or should but that’s not out of laziness or financial reasons. I make enough money that I could go to the movies more often if I chose to. But the multiplex sucks. I don’t want to go to the mall to see a movie. I want to sit in a musty theater, in the dark, in a weird area of town, and pay less then $15.00. Blame it on growing up in Niagara Falls, where the old Cineplex Odeon/Seneca Theater (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Q2L1ONLb7Hc/SD3z7ZNgXCI/AAAAAAAAAus/qIYlEC4yb58/s1600-h/103_0941.JPG) on Queen Street was a haunt for myself and my friends. That same theater is where I almost got beaten up outside of a screening of Halloween IV (had it not been for my friend’s father showing up just in time I’d have been in big trouble). This was the place where after the movie finished we’d wander around making fun of hookers. It was safe enough inside that it was fun to go there, but it had something that modern theaters lack these days, and that’s character. The Eagle, at least from the outside and the pictures I’ve seen of the interior, had a lot of character. I won’t get on a soap box and proclaim to miss the theater – I never got to experience it in the first place – but I will say that my wife and I frequently said that if we ever won the lottery we’d buy it and turn it back into a movie house. That won’t happen now, not that it was a likelihood in the first place, but it still makes me want to raise a stiff middle finger to the trickle down effect of the corporate take over of this country and shout a big fuck you to all who are complacent enough not to notice or, worse yet, don’t care.

One from one of his dad's old theaters. He actually tried to get in touch with the real estate dudes handling The Eagle to get this marquee but it didn't happen.

I thought there was some sort of connection between Steve and THe Eagle. You showed me the theater and told me about it, and must have told me he tried to acquire the marquee. My brain works, but all my pistons don't fire.

The last of my Portland shots. Roosters! The only strip club I know of that advertises the fact that it's got security cameras hooked up to some LCD TVs inside so you can keep an eye on your bike while you watch low rent strippers bump and grind and eat free peanuts!

And... George's Dancin' Bare! Awesome signs with bears and strippers on them. I once saw a guy sniff a strippers butt there once.

And last but not least, the Exotica Club For Men - so exotic they planted a palm tree outside.

Some sleaze from Denver - Toyboy can probably elaborate once he gets back online. I don't know what was going on here, really.

That Adult Video Library is a block away from a Buddhist temple. I went in once because they have live girls behind glass. It was daytime and nobody was manning the front counter when I came in, although there was a cleaning guy hanging out in the booth area, hauling trash. I perused their meager DVD selection for about 10 minutes in the hopes that someone would explain how the whole business with the glass ladies worked but nobody came up front. I'd been told that the girls will rub their crotches with brush handles but I guess I'll never know.

The Kitty's there had just closed when that pic was taken. I used to stumble in there drunk after the bars closed. That's where I heard the dudes arguing about whether or not KI77's Unmasked was their best album or not.

I did not. I was too drunk and too wrapped up in which foot fetish mag 3-pack looked the best.

Did you at least settle that?

11-04-2011, 12:53 PM
I would like to say yes. They would always package Hustler's Leg World in with some lame British magazine and possibly an issue of the lesser (to my eyes) Leg Show. I would try and find a pack that had two Leg Worlds and the shitty UK thing, so if I walked out of there that night with a pack it was one of those winners.

Ian Jane
11-04-2011, 01:03 PM
So the shitty UK mag was better than Leg Show? This seems more leg fetish than foot fetish, TB.

11-04-2011, 01:34 PM
For clarification:

1 Leg World + 1 Randy Tarts of Piccadilly Circus + 1 Leg Show = lame 3-pack

2 Leg Worlds + 1 Randy Tarts of Piccadilly Circus = acceptable 3-pack

You can't avoid the big UK mag.

Also, Leg World is more foot-centric but I guess that Foot World is a clunkier title.

I somehow suspect that 'Private Viewing Booths' and 'Ladies are Welcome' is a bit of a contradiction. Love the Birkam Yoga right next to the porn shop though.

Last year I was in a truck stop porn store and a dude brought his lady friend in on a leash. She was in lingerie and high heels and they were looking at dildos. I thought that perhaps they'd dip into the porn booths but they just clip-clopped around the wall of toys. Surprisingly it wasn't the least bit exciting. I just felt bad for him, thinking that this was his big thrill for the week - getting his wife or girlfriend all done up to take to the store but then not having anyone give a shit. The girl at the counter couldn't have cared less.

Anytime I was in that shop I'd see truckers rush in and buy $5 worth of tokens and they'd be in an out of the private viewing room in about 10 minutes. Occasionally one would come out and let the employee know that the DVD was skipping or the screen was blank.

I was in that store way more times and way longer than I feel comfortable with now.

In that last shot you can see the Jerry Orbach Theater, home to Perfect Crime, the Guiness Book of World Records holder for longest running Off-Broadway play to feature the same actress in the lead role. A few months ago my mom took us there to see it. It wasn't very good. I think the porno shop/live models joint next door in that shot might be gone now, I don't remember seeing it (then, I wasn't really looking for it either).

The still-ticking Metro made the Toronto Star (http://www.thestar.com/news/article/1108651--the-metro-still-x-rated-still-for-sale) yesterday. It's still for sale: apparently no takers at $3.59 million, which does sound like a lot, but I bet it's only pennies per DNA sample.

Last week when I was in Vegas there was a porno convention. I call a friend at an adult site I know and ask him if he's got a contact at 'Adultcon' which is the con happening across the street - it's not AVN, the big one, but some ghetto thing put together at hte last minute to cash in on the CES traffic. At any rate, my buddy has never heard of it but tells me to go tell them I'm on assignment for him and that they'll probably let me in. So we go across the street, it's fucking EMPTY and there are four chicks at the admissions booth sleeping on the desk. haha. There's a huge Ving Rhames looking dude doing security. I ask the chick at the counter for the press contact, she says there isn't one and that they're not doing press this year but she can sign me up for this year. I look around, it's dead quiet, to get into the con area you have to go through a black curtain, you can't see what's on the other side, it's all hidden. At that point I say thanks and walk away - cause I figure if my friend and I do get in, we're going to get raped and/or murdered.

But I did take a pictuer of the sign. To make it even better, note that there are some cops hanging out in the AM/PM parking lot in front of the sign and, I swear, blasting on the speaker outside the store was 'All Out Of Love' by Air Supply.

Sadly I did not get to hang out with the Diceman either.

Robin Bougie

Haha you pussy! You could have gotten in free, and scampered away at the last second?

Oh god, I bet it was so depressing in there. I've been a dealer at cons where there were far more dealers than customers, and it was lame. We all turn into sad puppy dogs, desperate for even the tiniest bit of eye contact, and if you give it, we latch on. You wouldn't have gotten raped/murdered, but you would have assaulted from all sides by desperate dildo and pornsite membership salesmen.

Ian Jane
01-17-2012, 08:02 PM
That's just it though I couldn't have gotten in for free. If I could, I would have and I'd have written up an article for my friend's site with some pictures and stuff, done it up right, but they had NO press liason there and general admission tickets were $40.00 - add to this the fact that there was nothing promoting the show outside of the marquee sign and a few bus stop posters I saw around town (which didn't mention anything outside of the name and that it was for adults - no talent or exhibitors were named) and you can see how I figured this was going to be a bad idea.

Robin Bougie
01-18-2012, 12:38 AM
Oh I thought you meant she was going to get you in as press. Misunderstood. I was confused by "she can sign me up for this year".

I wouldn't have bothered for $40 either.

Alex K.
03-26-2012, 07:44 PM
Wasn't there a peep on 42nd and 8th ave? It's right next to a strip club.

Funny story; while I was at work a slightly older co-worker (mid thirties) was going on about how she visited Manhattan and missed out on seeing the peep shows. The lesbian among us had never heard of peep shows and we all decided to have a road trip to Manhattan and watch the peep shows.

Ian Jane
03-26-2012, 07:50 PM
Alex, I could be wrong but I don't think there are any live peep shows left. Strip clubs, yes, and jack shack/viewing booth places, lots of those - but actual peep shows where you see a live person behind glass....? I think they're gone.

Again, I could be wrong, but I don't know of any. Show World doesn't have any of that anymore (at least they didn't when I went in, but that was a few years ago).

Adele's Cozy Cottage - a weird ass nudie bar in Astoria, Queens, that always seems to be closed for some reason. Never been inside, can probably live without ever going in side, but I have to admit I am curious about it as it's a cozy cottage... with LIVE GIRLS DAILY according to the neon sign that doesn't seem to light up anymore.

While I was back in Canada last week I stopped by to take some quick shots of an abandoned nudie bar I was once kicked out of years back. It went out of business but the sign is still there. It's all boarded up and in scary shape - but hey, it's for lease.

I give you what's left of Niagara Falls' own The Doll House!

Wow! I had no idea Kinematics was still around. That's the store that Bill Landis used to write about in Sleazoid Express.

Nice to know Rick's is still there, too. Went there in 2006. As classy as it looks from the outside, I thought it was pretty dive-y. The girls pressured us pretty hard, and pretty much chased my friend and I out. I realize they need to make a living, but I like my strip clubs a bit more casual and not so soaked in desperation.

Was also pretty bummed to find that the girls in New York can only go topless. Here in Vancouver we get the whole enchilada. Manhattan seems so tame and regulated today compared to the legends of olde.

Helloooooo Brooklyn.

The guy coming out of this porno shop gave me a dirty look when I took this picture, so I've decided that I'll crop him and blow him up and post him here.

This place is right next to a liquor store and although I've never been inside from the street you can see that they have a lot of weird mannequins dressed up in fetish gear and lingerie inside.

I also like that there's a neon crab above the entry way. A warning, perhaps?

Ian Jane
03-25-2013, 09:35 AM
Also this place around the corner from where I work? It's all creepy looking and stuff, you have to go up a shady looking half flight of stairs to get in... anyway I posted about it ages ago. It appears that either they're not open 24hrs anymore (meaning they weren't open at 7:45am when I drove past it) or they've closed up. A few of the porno shops in this area have shuttered in the last few months.

I had to drive into Manhattan this afternoon for work, and when I did, I found some sleazy sites!

This first one is on the West Side Hwy as you head up town. It looks like it was once an adult video/magazine store and also a gentleman's club at some point. Now it has a weird mural on the outside, if you look closely you'll see UFOs and cop cars.

Also, here's a gay porn shop, located on 40th between 7th and 8th Ave.

Funnily enough, I went into San Francisco's Tenderloin last week, specifically to have a look at the O'Farrell Theatre. I found this just around the corner.

If I'd been there the following weekend, I might well have taken the opportunity to see Jess Jane, um, perform.

Thought I'd share with you guys two of my fave skuzzy GO-TO places for vintage adult mags here in Vancouver.

As well as the infamous PENTHOUSE strip club here in town. So much history, I believe a book has even been published about it, now. Will have to pick it up. Saw it announced, anyway. They were giving guided tours of the back rooms of the place a while back too, but it was really expensive.

Oh yeah, here it is. $50 per person.

Oh, and I did end up buying that book about the PENTHOUSE nightclub that i mentioned on the previous page. I knew if I was patient that it would show up cheap at one of the local used book stores.

Haven't read it yet, but it looks good. The only bummer is that I assumed it would be full of amazing photos of the inside (and outside) of the theater through the years, and the strippers that stripped there. There are some, but the majority of the book is of old family photos of the family who owned the place. Whooopeeeee.

My pal Bill Baker just sent these to me last night. Took them right before time square was whitewashed and disneyfied.

He says:
"That pic looking into the store is one of my favorites I took. It's one of those "last shot on the roll" pics. I took a bunch on the street in both color and black and white. The stores were closing fast so we went back again and again as they faded, and having one last shot left on my last roll, I thought I'd shoot into one of the stores and see how it came out. Well my friend was standing next to me, to help block light so I could shoot inside to allow me to get a shot half in the store and the reflection of the other side of the street all closed up and painted bright happy colors all in one. There's even the last drug deal, with a guy leaning into a car stopped on the street....It looks better on paper, really. I titled it 'The Last Buy On 42nd Street'."

Yesterday Todd and I went to a comic con. On the way we saw some sleaze. Here's some sleaze from Queens, near the Roosevelt Ave. subway station.

After the con we walked up 8th Ave. towards Times Square. We found this place called DVD Lingeries. It doesn't look sketchy at all, right?

Once you walk down the stairs you can see the 'lingeries' in a display window.

When walk in, you get to check out all the porn. They have viewing booths in the back, but no buddy booths and no glory holes. Sorry Todd. The place stunk of pot smoke and as we were wandering in some really stoned young man walked out of the viewing booth area. I think he was smoking weed and enjoying the viewing booths.

Also they have a lot of dildos in this place.

Ian Jane
06-15-2014, 10:05 AM
This place advertises all male peepshows. They also have a shit load of kung fu movies in the front area. We walked in, the kung fu movies were all those cheap shitty bootlegs you find all over NYC. Towards the back there's tons of porn. As you walk in a very unfriendly Indian man follows you really, really closely to make sure you're not taking pictures or stealing stuff. So I don't have pictures of this BUT... dude has a section called ANIMALS which features loads of bestiality DVD-Rs with really bad homemade cover art and lots of pictures of unfortunate ladies doing unfortunate things with their four legged friends. Underneath this are a bunch of DVD-Rs labelled SNUFF and stuff like that. We were pretty skeeved out by this but at the same time, maybe Manhattan isn't as sanitized as some people think.

Oh and the all male thing out front? To the side of the counter there's a creepy skinny stairway with a sign over top that says "ALL MALE UPSTAIRS, $15 ADMISSION, NO REFUNDS." I dunno what was going on up there.

Ian Jane
06-15-2014, 10:07 AM
This place is called EXCELLENT VIBES and it is a multi-floored establishment with a barber shop attached.

We didn't go in because we'd had a lot of beer beforehand and Todd was complaining that he had to pee.

Ian Jane
06-15-2014, 10:12 AM
Because Todd really had to pee we had to find a bathroom. I knew there was a public bathroom at Toys R Us so we cut down 42nd towards Broadway, passed this stuff along the way.

When we got to Toys R Us we peed and then Todd high fived Spider-Man and the lady who was supervising how and why people high five Spider-Man yelled at me for taking a picture.

06-15-2014, 10:14 AM
Shoudlve picked up a handful of SNUFF stuff ian...just to check the validity of it...Then you could have gone back with TRADINGS STANDARDS officers and closed the place down for wrongful advertising!!@!

To the side of the counter there's a creepy skinny stairway with a sign over top that says "ALL MALE UPSTAIRS, $15 ADMISSION, NO REFUNDS." I dunno what was going on up there.

For some reason right outside Toys R Us there were naked ladies all painted up. I think this was a world cup thing but I really don't know. Then some guy tried to sell us weed.

I think that creepy old dude probably didn't like that I loudly announced to you that they had horse porn.
Yeah..I guess that would kind of attract attention to you both!!!

Is the SUPER LOCKSMITH in the store?

Is he on duty?

Is he your arch nemesis Ian?

Not sure how that would play out?...Your super power is a natural homing beacon to Smutty stores..and he is master of the locks??

Maybe a CHASTITY BELT adventure?.......Maybe he could be your side-kick........

The porno shop around the corner has a Halloween thing going on in its window this week... sort of.

10-28-2014, 07:15 PM
One orange pumpkin cutout DOES NOT make the window into a Halloween Theme...You should go in and tell them to make more of an effort Ian!

And what exatly do they mean when they state "All Items At Reasonable Prices"???

And why would a massage OIL have to some in different FLAVORS???

It's kind of hard to tell from the glare that the street light casts but inside the front window of this HK sex shop is a mannequin dressed up like some sort of gay superhero? It's kind of rad.

Walked past the dirty movie store near my office, normally it's not open and there are no lights on but this time it was going full steam ahead - with the lights on, you can see Vanessa Del Rio movies displayed in the window.

Saw this post at the adultdvdforum, and thought that it might be of interest over here too.

In 1985, Paris had more than 50 porn theaters. The last one, Le Beverly, http://www.le-beverley.info is shutting down in February.

Watch the Vice News segment about it after the article (you have to watch a commercial first).

The one time I was in Paris, I was given a tour of a bunch of porn shops but I do not remember anything about a theater. I did go into one small shop that had its ceiling covered in vintage porno movie posters. My friend asked the clerk if I could snap a photo & I was allowed. They didn't turn out that great, unfortunately.

I can't remember the name of the place but we went into a HUGE porn shop that had multiple floors with an escalator. Upstairs were the video booths & the men-only play area. You had to pay to enter it but my friend use to work there so we were allowed a walk-through b/c it was empty. There were a small section of videos then booths & 'stadium' type seating. Everything was painted dark black, floors, walls, & ceiling.
