Thread: Blood For Dracula & Flesh For Frankenstin Coming To Blu-ray...!

I'm waiting on these. The only Japanese Blus I own are the original NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (which is a port of the Weinstein remaster and looks great) and THE GREAT SILENCE and DAY OF ANGER (which have some significant interlacing PQ issues). And oh yeah - the new WHITESNAKE live thing - but I got that for the fancy packaging. My next Japanese Blu is probably going to be ORCA.

I hope Criterion got them back, then. That would better the chances of getting a real 3-D release of Flesh, since Criterion are no strangers to the format anymore.

Is there a lot of genital fogging on the WHITESNAKE disc?

I have them both. Dracula is pretty good actually, but Frankenstein looks terrible, very soft. I saw a comparison with the Japanese version and the Japanese version is far superior.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

the Aussie BLOOD FOR DRACULA is defo worth it, for £8 which I paid you cant go wrong. But its a decent Blu. It could be improved upon though im sure. Its in 1080i but still looks good. I didn't bother with FLESH though as ive heard that's just an upscale.

Yes ive heard the Japanese releases are fogged. Also about 3x the price of the Aussie ones so until the definitive release (if?) comes the Aussie will do.
